For those in the key demographic, it is a rallying sentiment, an identifier that allows them to own the entire genre. Even those who have come late to the popularity of country can align themselves with the movement in this statement of solidarity. They have been, they are “country for life.” They are pledging their allegiance to all the things they hold dear: family, work, friends, nature, fashion, etc., completely based on their own understanding of what it is to be country.
