Making Business Moves (and Businesses Move)

The Augusta Economic Development Authority (AEDA) provides site selectors, domestic and international businesses and local partners with forward momentum by creatively and independently solving problems, building relationships and remaining focused on Augusta’s future. In summary, the AEDA is Augusta's biggest fan. They are unlike any other economic development authority, and their new brand had to reflect that.

Always On Their "A" Game

The arrow in their logo will forever point up and ahead, just as the AEDA constantly works to move Augusta forward. This logo is professional yet bold, clean and organized with authority(you get it). The colors we chose are eye-catching; this palette expresses confidence and excitement. Much like the AEDA's outlook for Augusta, these colors embrace the life our home exudes.

Roadblocks? Never Heard of Her

Other people’s roadblocks are their bread and butter. The team at the AEDA is constantly looking for creative ways to solve problems, get over hurdles and jump through hoops. That's the kind of company we like to keep. We pulled inspiration from growth charts and road maps to build several ascending line art elements to assist in the storytelling of the brand. Moving from lower left to upper right, this pattern will pull a viewer's eye over and up helping to build thoughts of progress and moving the ball forward.

The Next Big Things

We helped the AEDA create a strong tagline that represents all that they stand for. With their forward momentum, autonomous decision making, relationship building, and future focus; we know they are all about "The Next Big Things."

"Before working with Wier / Stewart, our organization lacked a discernable identity. After a thorough discovery session, they gave our organization a unique personality that matches the enthusiasm we have for helping Augusta grow. We wanted something clean but impactful, vibrant but authoritative and they nailed it."

Cheney Thomasson / Manager of Existing Industry and Strategic Partnerships

"The AEDA works hard to build strong foundations for Augusta’s growing Business and Industry. We worked hard on their new visual foundation and know it will serve them for years to come.
