Christmas Window Decorations

Going For the Cold

When Visit Augusta announced the 2nd annual Christmas decoration contest, our team immediately put our heads together to come up with our 2020 theme. After a bit of brainstorming ("A tree made out of masks?" "A James Brown-themed gingerbread man in a snow globe?"), we struck gold when Designer Rachel Baker suggested, "What about a Narwhal that says 'Bye Buddy, hope you find your ad... agency?'" Whether she was serious or not, we had our idea.

Run Run Rudolph

Rachel sprang into action formulating a plan to get our windows decorated in roughly 4 days. She designed the swirly twirly vignettes that decorated the windows, and we sent them off to be printed as giant, paper templates. A handful of W/S employees, some duct tape and many window paint markers later, our building looked like a Fifth Avenue storefront.

Wrapping It Up

We finished up the windows with a painted Narwhal, twinkly lights, an inflatable Buddy the Elf and some falling snow. Shoutout to our team who strung glitter-covered pompoms, painted icebergs and helped our winter wonderland come together. Make some hot cocoa, grab the family and take a stroll downtown to see all the competing businesses! You can even vote for your favorite and get 15% off at Augusta & Co

Sibling Rivalry

We would be remiss if we didn't mention our sister company Showpony and their larger-than-life holiday decor, complete with a Santa projection behind the front door and exercise ball ornaments. A cozy living room vignette is punctuated by an array of their high-quality branded merchandise.

...but they're competing against us, so that's all we're going to say about it. Best of luck to all the competing businesses!
