Georgia’s GOAL Student of the Year

We're not crying, you're crying.

Rahmere Williams joined the Showpony team this summer as an intern and quickly impressed us enough to earn a spot on the Wier / Stewart design team. In addition to working part-time as he finishes his Graphic Design degree at Augusta Technical College, Rahmere has been pursuing the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) award given by the Technical College System of Georgia (spoiler: he won). Before delivering his winning speech to the judges in the final round, he shared with the W/S team. It was too good not to capture with this video.

The Keys To Success

Rahmere embodies some key characteristics in what it takes to succeed. A great attitude, perseverance and determination top that list. Speaking of keys, he got a new set to his brand new car. The dude literally won a car. Just awesome.

“Advocating for Technical Education around the state of Georgia is going to be amazing because it has changed my life. Becoming the GOAL student of the year winner was a very fun process. I’ve made friendships that will last for the rest of my life. I’d also like to thank Sherrie Rowe for nominating me, and seeing the potential that I didn’t know I could achieve. Last, thank you Augusta Technical College and TSCG for giving me this amazing opportunity.”
