Preserving a Beautiful Legacy

In honor of our unicorns.

In 2019, our dear sister and co-worker, Lauren (or LC as she was affectionately called), and her daughter, Blakely, were, without warning, suddenly taken away from us. They were both incredibly special people and their absence has left a huge hole in all our hearts. As we say around here, Blakely loved unicorns and LC was one. We’ve honored with all sorts of small memorials and trinkets over the years, including placing unicorns in our company collaterals. They are a recurring theme, to put it mildly.

In 2020, we established the Lauren Cowart Scholarship in their memories. It is awarded to an outstanding student in LC’s line of work who, at the end of the day, can only just hope to match the joy with which Lauren and Blakely lived their lives.

The 2022 Scholarship will be presented at the 2022 American Advertising Awards ceremony to the applicant whose professionalism, enthusiasm and work best represent Lauren’s steadfastness, zest for life and impeccable spirit.
