VERA 2023 Hospitality Boxes

Southern Hospitali-tree (Peaches, that is)

Every year, we love working with Vera Stewart, owner of the eponymous VERA—a boutique hospitality company serving incoming Tournament Week visitors. From housing, to staffing, to transportation, to catering and beverage handling, VERA is the one-stop-shop for groups seeking the ultimate luxury experience the first week of April.

To promote her services to potential clients, we concept and bring to life an annual hospitality box, sent several months in advance of Tournament Week. This year’s theme celebrates Augusta National Golf Course's pre-1931 history as Fruitland Nursery, as well as Vera Stewart’s contributions to the culinary community of the Peach State. What better way to showcase Augusta's passion for golf, peaches and hospitality, than with everything you need to make a delicious peach cocktail—"The Peach Blossom"—crafted by none other than Vera herself!

We're lucky to partner with our sister company Showpony to bring these types of projects to life. They were the driving force behind making these hand-packed hospitality boxes into the incredible and memorable brand touchpoints that they are.

A Word from the Ponies

Curating the perfect products to create an unforgettable experience for the recipients is key to VERA's gift boxes. We included classic copper shakers, jiggers, Fruitland Peach Vodka (packaged in a branded, leak-proof padded pouch for worry-free delivery) and Pearson Farms Peach Preserves for making these refreshing cocktails. Also inside are custom-designed plastic cups adorned with a peach emblem, a nod to the cups you’d enjoy drinking from at the Tournament (and perfect for serving up The Peach Blossom).

Chocolate golf balls filled with peach ganache, a recipe postcard, foil-stamped napkins and a debossed VERA notebook round out a package full of beautiful, branded items that every recipient will enjoy and remember.

“Our Hospitality boxes, that are sent to clients in preparation for planning for the tournament, are the biggest creative representation of our brand. Our goal is to TOP the impact of the previous year. W/S took the lead on the interpretation of the Peach Trees that were originally planted on the grounds of Fruitland Nursery, which eventually became the Augusta National Golf Course, to our use of Peaches for the menus for 2023. ShowPony brought it full circle by creating the VERA Peach basket that mimicked the greenhouses, once located on the property, with all of the components for the specialty Peach Blossom drink that we crafted especially for this project. Just Peachy!”

“Over the past 13+ years I've had the opportunity to work on a lot of Vera's projects. While her brand has changed and grown over the years one thing has remained constant, she is always in good taste. With its wooden fruit crate exterior and peach inspired products inside we've created a care package her clients will truly a-peach-iate.”
