Apparo Academy & The First Lady's Luncheon
PROJECT: First Lady’s Luncheon Video
W/S Goes to Washington
Recently we got the opportunity to be a part of something pretty special. But instead of us doing all the talking, we'll let Robin Allen, wife of Congressman Rick Allen, tell you all about it:
“When I was asked to chair the 113th First Lady's Luncheon in Washington, D. C., in April of 2026, I knew immediately that I wanted to use the occasion to raise awareness for United Cerebral Palsy and Apparo Academy, two causes very near to my heart. I reached out to Wier / Stewart to create a video featuring my 9 year old granddaughter, Hampton, who was born 9 years ago with cerebral palsy. My hope was to share her joyful spirit and bright smile while also highlighting the wonderful work being done through United Cerebral Palsy and locally at Apparo Academy, where she attends school. Kesler had a remarkable connection with Hampton, immediately putting her at ease and making the experience unforgettable for her. She truly felt like a star—waving, blowing kisses, and happily showing her school, classmates, and what her daily life is like. The video was shown last week before almost 1,800 guests, and it deeply moved the audience. We are sincerely grateful to the entire Wier / Stewart team for helping us share such an important message in such a meaningful way. Thank you, Team Wier / Stewart!”
“Seeing Apparo Academy’s work displayed to a passionate, distinguished and influential audience including the nation’s First and Second Lady is not an experience I will soon forget. Apparo Academy’s impact on families throughout the Augusta area was felt and appreciated on a national stage thanks to Hampton and her family sharing her story.”
