Business in the Front, Party Everywhere Else
When Cheatham Fletcher Scott, an Augusta-based architecture and interior design firm, was selected to bring Aiken, South Carolina's new Tom Young Center for Research & Innovation to life, they were obviously excited. But, a huge challenge lay ahead: How to marry the classic architectural ideas of this iconic Southern town with the cutting-edge technological and space requirements necessary for its success. Long story short—they had to be incredibly smart about it. Our video capturing the why and how of bringing this project out of the ground and into fruition is a fascinating tale of old meets new. Through a series of thoughtful and creative choices, they manifested a marvelous result. Our take on our piece was to mirror that same energy and innovation in telling the story. Just like this new jewel in Aiken's crown, it gets done what it needs to with a strong base of solid fundamentals and a lot of style.
