Power in Partnership: McKinfolk

3 Minute Read

We were thrilled to learn that, along with our collaborators at Visit McKinney, our campaign, "Nothing to See Here" took 2nd place in the annual Texas Destination Excellence Award. And finishing Silver ain't a bad deal when you're doing it in Texas, which is a massive state and leisure travel mecca.

But award winning creative does not happen in a vacuum. It cannot happen without exceptional partners. The client always knows more about their business than you do and they have to know when something is good. We call our clients in McKinney "McKinfolk" because they are collaborative, know their stuff, and are, in the parlance of W/S "OKGs" (or kind of guys/girls).

Putting something together like this involves two things from a very high level:

1. Collaboration (we need to share lots of info/thoughts/understand nuances)

2. Trust (it's a tourism campaign telling the audience there's nothing to see here)

We got both from the McKinfolk and were rewarded with both accolades and results.

Like Rob Base said, it takes two.
